This is 'Quarry', it's about a boy and girl who were friends from school, enjoy!
Quarry
I met you in high school,
We kissed between lessons,
Detention spent holding hands,
Recess we fooled around,
I’ll never tell anyone what happened in that closet.
We visited the quarry at night,
I got grounded but I loved it,
Surrounded by rubble and rock,
Everything tumbling around our souls,
No holes for us to fall down.
When I got my first job,
You’d visit in my lunch hour,
Our time spent walking dead streets,
Always giving me a hand,
In the right and wrong way.
You spent hours aimlessly wondering,
Pondering the future for you and I,
My baby, a fuss created by your heart,
No false start, just a stutter,
Spelling the end in your head.
The drugs you did killed you,
I was meant to be your anti-depressant,
I let you down I’m sorry,
Just meet me in the quarry tonight,
For one last kiss.
