A poem: Waiting

Woo a poem!

Waiting

The skin I live in is the best I could have,
So I’ve got to make the most of what I’ve got,
One day it’ll attract a mighty fine lady,
And she’ll love it a hell of a lot more than me.

In return a soft kiss and play fights galore,
And nights of frolics and fun,
Days of relaxing and watching movies,
And loving each other too much.

Take my hand and skip with me,
Through fields of green and yellow,
And collapse atop a flowerbed,
Your head resting on my chest.

I can offer you this average looking man,
With a diamond heart and soul,
Who’ll keep you safe and smiling,
Right ‘til the very end.

So baby take your time and find me,
I’m waiting for you at my door,
I’ll open it to my whole new life,
My magic inducing girl.

A poem: Into The Tide

Hellooooo another poem for you, this one a sonnet :) Make of it what you will!

Into The Tide:

I’ve become an icy mess,
My past lost in the rivers,
Everything I had has become less,
Memories still give me shivers.

I’ve only had one relationship,
Is this how my story ends?
My life went for a frozen dip,
No love, no job, no money, no friends.

Dive alongside me into a wave,
And release my heart from this cage,
My drowning heart is what you save,
After what feels like an age.

Swim with me into the tide,
And we’ll make this life a beautiful ride.

A poem: Strangled

Hello! Been a little while! Sorry about that, been busy looking for a job etc! Anyway, this is about a girl who felt she'd been let down too many times.

Strangled

This little girl she left as a martyr,
A martyr of truth,
A martyr of love,
Looking down in pity from above.

She was let down one too many times,
By a man from Manchester,
A swindler from Swindon,
And a heartbreaker from Hartlepool,
Each one not knowing what to say,
Leaving her after cheating their way.

Drowning in despair while they were dipped in denial,
She cut a lone figure in her bathroom,
What had she done wrong?
An answer torqueing her mind,
Twisting it to insanity,
A nagging depravity of care,
Her dead heart felt loose,
Thinking solely of a noose.

She was beautiful inside and out,
Yet nobody ever told her so,
Leaving a dull ache ripping her ribs,
And tightening her throat,
Each time thinking a compliment is a joke,
Every word a needle to the arm,
Giving up on this half-baked life,
Her airwaves strangled,
A desolation down her street,
Destined for her imaginary love she’ll meet.

A poem: A Warning

A poem about what you'd tell your younger self if you had the chance, I'm quite proud of this one and I hope you like it :)

A Warning:

If I could tell my teenage self one thing it would be this,
Don’t rely on one person,
The heartbreak will make you ache,
And you will change forever,
You’ll feel lonely when not alone,
Self-hatred dated back to when,
She says it’s over.

You’ll think of your inability to please,
Ask yourself malicious questions,
Festering within your fragile heart,
Torn apart and back to the start,
Looking over your shoulder,
Colder and frozen,
A dozen or more thoughts,
Thaw at your ice heart,
Melting your sense away.

You’ll think of the good days,
Wasting away in your memory,
A fantasy of happiness,
Lest forgetting the times you struggled through,
To be together forever,
It was never on her plate,
Love was late to the tea party,
By the time you arrived,
She’d gone,
Moved on to the lucky lad,
Who had stolen her heart from you.

You’ll wonder what you did wrong,
Whether she was shallow,
Or you were just ugly,
As you only showed care,
There for her whenever she called,
You bawled your eyes out with her,
Teary eyes looking back at you,
Ending up loving you like a brother,
Not a significant other,
Walking away in the end,
To send you out to the world,
Leaving you curled in your bed,
Led to believe love was right,
When it was wrong and for her went on too long.

You’ll ponder what you’ll do now,
And how to find someone,
None come and whisk you away,
Not today, tomorrow or any day,
Searching for a light,
A girl to brighten up your nights,
She might not exist,
Or have kissed another man,
Than you who treats her poorly,
Surely running to your arms,
Sweet charms reel her in,
But to hope is a sin,
In your blackened heart.

Heed my warning,
As the day will soon be dawning,
Where you’ll be left,
A heinous theft,
On your soul,
As your lover lets go.

A poem: Quarry

Sorry I didn't upload anything over the weekend, was in Paris! :)

This is 'Quarry', it's about a boy and girl who were friends from school, enjoy!

Quarry

I met you in high school,
We kissed between lessons,
Detention spent holding hands,
Recess we fooled around,
I’ll never tell anyone what happened in that closet.

We visited the quarry at night,
I got grounded but I loved it,
Surrounded by rubble and rock,
Everything tumbling around our souls,
No holes for us to fall down.

When I got my first job,
You’d visit in my lunch hour,
Our time spent walking dead streets,
Always giving me a hand,
In the right and wrong way.

You spent hours aimlessly wondering,
Pondering the future for you and I,
My baby, a fuss created by your heart,
No false start, just a stutter,
Spelling the end in your head.

The drugs you did killed you,
I was meant to be your anti-depressant,
I let you down I’m sorry,
Just meet me in the quarry tonight,
For one last kiss.

A poem: Cactus

Just wrote this tonight :)

Cactus:
Feeling lonely in a land of millions,
This isn’t how I was meant to be,
Standing alone like a cactus in the desert,
Pushing people away with my prickles,
A spiky unwanted repellent,
Until nobody attempts to penetrate my outside,
To reach the heart of gold within,
The ticking of a clock becoming slower,
Days go by at a snail’s pace,
Causing my shell to crack,
Leaving me without somewhere to shelter from the world,
And nowhere to share with someone,
I wouldn’t say I try too hard,
Compliments and caring come naturally,
As polite personality falters and fails,
The longing tearing my insides apart,
Soul run over by a bulldozer,
Feeling ever so deflated,
With nothing left to lose,
It manages to release one last question,
If a girl professes to love someone,
How often is it the case that the man is a sleaze,
Leaving her on her knees,
While I wait in the shadows for someone to take a chance.
